Overview
Four times in a little over a decade, the Supreme Court has limited the imposition of extreme sentences on children. This presentation will review the evolution in the Supreme Court’s Eighth Amendment jurisprudence, as well as the practical implications for representing children facing life in prison at sentencing or resentencing.
