Why You Should Attend

With nonprofits under heightened scrutiny to account for their management and fiduciary practices, managing a nonprofit has become increasingly complex.  Nonprofit managers and advisors need to be up-to-date on the latest developments in this sector.

This program will examine a variety of nonprofit topics including tax compliance issues and IRS developments, and a review of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act’s impact on nonprofit organizations.  Our faculty also will discuss private foundations; pay for success programs; the in-house counsel perspective; and ethical issues for lawyers on nonprofit boards.

What You Will Learn

  • Pay for success programs and private benefit issues
  • Private foundations: Basic principles and new developments
  • Nonprofit organizations: The in-house counsel perspective
  • Ethical issues for lawyers on nonprofit boards

Who Should Attend

This program is for attorneys interested in learning more about nonprofit law, as well as those who concentrate on such issues as a substantial part of their practice. The program is also valuable for in-house counsel at nonprofit organizations and attorneys who serve on boards of directors.
