Why You Should Attend

This program addresses current California employment law issues, with the added focus of how the latest, state-specific legal developments impact the tech sector, in particular.  California employment law is notoriously complex, but the employment environment in tech can present novel legal challenges that may further complicate that practice.

With recent legislative actions and notable case law continuing to shape this dynamic area of practice, there is much to cover, especially in the current environment of employment law.  Pay equity, sexual harassment and discrimination and bias in the workplace issues are top of mind for employers and this program will explore how these issues manifest and are addressed in California’s tech sector.   

What You Will Learn

  • Sexual harassment – explaining employer duties and pitfalls when investigating claims
  • Pay equity – defining pay inequality, recent legal updates, employer and employee takeaways
  • Spotting bias, using “interrupters” to address implicit bias
