Ed Cavazos is the Managing Partner of the Austin office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice.  He has extensive civil jury trial experience in both state and federal courts where he actively litigates disputes involving patents, trade secrets, copyright, trademarks, breach of contract and Internet-related claims.  In addition to his litigation practice, Ed routinely represents clients in complex technology-related deals involving intellectual property, including licensing transactions.  He represents clients in the Internet, software, hardware, video game, and various other industries.

Ed is an adjunct professor at The University of Texas School of Law, where he is currently teaching “The Law of Software, Video Games and Interactive Entertainment.”
