The Patent Office will again update its Registration Exam the end of January 2014 to add three new documents to the testable materials. The first document,
the “first-inventor-to-file” rules, are already included in our materials, lectures and questions. (We added those when the new “first-inventor-to-file”
law became testable in April, just to be safe.)
The other two documents are in fact new to the Exam. But they are not major changes or additions. Certainly nothing like the major additions to the Exam
over the past year, as the America Invents Act was added to the Exam in stages. But they are additions nonetheless. If it’s convenient, you might try to
get the Exam out of the way by the end of the year, to avoid being tested on this new material. But if not, don’t worry about it; we’ll have a supplement
and some new practice questions, and maybe even some new lectures available by the end of the year. If you buy now, and don’t pass the Exam before the end
of January, you’ll of course get all of those for free.
