Did You Know?

  • PLI provides pro bono training for the access to justice community, reflecting its deep commitment to the public service work of the legal profession.

  • Since 2008, PLI has developed a curriculum of free programs in practice areas critical to the representation of low-income clients - including housing, family law, government benefits, immigration, veterans issues, and more - to train legal services attorneys and attorneys in private practice to take on pro bono representation.

  • PLI works in collaboration with hundreds of legal aid and pro bono entities to develop and deliver programs to meet their most pressing professional development needs.

Pro Bono Privileged Membership - Free Access to PLI Programs

PLI offers free Pro Bono Privileged Membership to nonprofit IRC Section 501(c)(3) organizations, legal aid organizations, and other pro bono groups, which provides staff and volunteers with access to PLI Live, Webcast or On-Demand programs.

PLI Scholarships

If you do not qualify for a Pro Bono Privileged Membership, apply for a scholarship for any Live, Webcast or On-Demand program.

PLI has awarded over 100,000 scholarships to legal aid, nonprofit and government attorneys/staff, attorneys engaged in pro bono work, judges, judicial law clerks, law professors, attorneys 65 or older, lawyers, law students, unemployed attorneys and others with financial hardships.
