Why You Should Attend

2015 was a banner year for real estate deals, yielding some staggering numbers for dollar volume transaction.  Many records were set.

After years of record growth, could 2016 bring the start of a market shift?  If so, how will the industry react and how will the real estate bar prepare for the changes?

PLI’s Negotiating Real Estate Deals returns in 2016 to continue its tradition of reviewing the major legal takeaways in the previous year’s real estate deals and identifying the coming trends that lawyers in the field are currently facing or can soon expect.

The program will start with a look back at 2015 and an examination of the current transactions landscape followed by a review of lending trends.  The agenda will also deliver practical lessons on closing purchase and sale and complex leasing transactions, including a masterclass on distressed loans and lender remedies.  A dynamic presentation on join venture agreements and their inherent pitfalls, along with a new segment on buying and selling REOs will set the stage for a final segment on ethics in real estate transactions.

Coming off such a strong year in real estate, attorneys may stop to think beyond the transaction they’re currently handling to ask themselves, “Where are the next opportunities and what should I know to prepare for them?”

Join your colleagues and attend PLI’s Negotiating Real Estate Deals 2016’s where our expert faculty will start to answer that question.
