Overview

The False Claims Act (“FCA”) continued to be a significant focus of government and whistleblower activity in 2015.  Although the U.S. Department of Justice reported a slightly lower overall recovery in settlements and judgments from FCA cases (approximately $3.5 billion in 2015), the statute continues to an important tool for the government and an opportunity for qui tam whistleblowers.
