A working knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act’s (ERISA) framework is crucial for lawyers, HR practitioners and other professionals in the area of employee benefits. Timothy Hauser, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Program Operations of the Employee Benefits Security Administration, will open the conference with his current thoughts on the Department of Labor’s fiduciary rule.  We have assembled a distinguished faculty of experienced practitioners who will lead us through the impact of the fiduciary rules on various business lines. We will hear insights from experts on the latest developments in ERISA litigation and the impact of technology on the provision of retirement plan services. The Labor Department’s Director of the Office of Enforcement will share the Office’s priorities with respect to audits and investigations and representatives from PBGC will share their thoughts on options for distressed pension plans and plan governance.
