Overview

Why You Should Attend

We have assembled a distinguished faculty of experienced practitioners who will lead us all through a detailed two-day look at recent developments in the area of ERISA fiduciary law and pension investments. In addition to reviewing the basic ERISA regulatory framework and types of plans covered, we’ll take a deep dive into current hot topics – including the Department of Labor’s re-proposed fiduciary rule and its potential impact as well as recent Supreme Court decisions.  We will also cover important issues that can arise in mergers & acquisition transactions as well as provide insights and guidance on the process of obtaining advisory opinions, determination letters and exemptive relief from the Department of Labor and IRS.  The final session will cover ethical considerations for both in-house and outside counsel.

Jonathan Kay, the Department of Labor’s Regional Director for New York will join us for a special keynote on DOL enforcement priorities.

Whether you are new to the practice or an experienced practitioner, you will find the informative program and opportunity to network with colleagues extremely valuable.
