Timothy U. Sharpe received a B.S. in Business Administration from Wayne State University in 1985.  In 1989, Mr. Sharpe graduated from the University Maryland School of Law, where he received the W.S. Thomas prize and the Chestnut Prize for Academic Excellence. From 1989 through 1995, Mr. Sharpe was an associate with the firm of Piper & Marbury (now DLA Piper), where his practice focused on commercial litigation. Mr. Sharpe was the Deputy Director of the Maryland Medicaid Fraud Control Unit from 1995 through 1999. In that position, Mr. Sharpe oversaw the investigation and prosecution of criminal health care fraud and patient abuse cases. Mr. Sharpe joined Quest Diagnostics in 1999 as Chief Litigation Counsel.  In that position, Mr. Sharpe conducted and oversaw a number of internal investigations in addition to managing the company's litigation. In 2004, Mr. Sharpe became Assistant General Counsel, and in January 2007, Mr. Sharpe became Vice President, Compliance. As Vice President, Compliance, Mr. Sharpe is responsible for oversight of the company's compliance program, including all compliance investigations.
