Teri Wilford Wood is an Associate General Counsel of International Business Machines Corporation in Armonk, New York. In this position she leads IBM's Corporate Legal Human Resources Law Group, with responsibility for employment, labor, benefits and compensation law globally. Prior to her position at IBM, Ms. Wood was Managing Counsel at American Express Company in New York, New York. Previously, Ms. Wood was an Administrative Judge for the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and, earlier, practiced at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, both in New York. Ms. Wood has served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Greater New York Chapter, is a past President of the Association's New York Chapter and has served as a member of the Board of Governors of Washburn University School of Law. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of The S.L.E. (Lupus) Foundation, is a member of its Executive Committee and is the Foundation's Secretary. Ms. Wood received her J.D. degree from Washburn University School of Law and has done graduate work in labor and tax law at New York University Law School. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri. In addition to membership in the Association of Corporate Counsel, Ms. Wood is a member of the American Bar Association and New York State Bar Association, and is also admitted to practice in New York and Kansas.
