Tamara M. Brightwell serves as Senior Special Counsel to the Director of the Division of Corporation Finance. Ms. Brightwell advises the Director on a wide range of matters involving the federal securities laws, including legislative proposals, rulemaking, interpretations, and registrant matters. Most recently, she has been involved in the Division's efforts related to the JOBS Act, as well as the Division's rulemaking efforts to implement a variety of provisions under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Ms. Brightwell previously served in the Division of Corporation Finance as a Special Counsel in the Office of Chief Counsel.
She earned her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Clemson University, and her law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
