Sanjeet Dutta is a partner in King & Spalding's Silicon Valley office. Mr. Dutta's practice focuses on patent litigation, patent prosecution, licensing agreements and IP diligence and audits. Mr. Dutta has litigated in state and federal courts and before the International Trade Commission.
Mr. Dutta's technology areas of particular expertise include mobile devices, payment systems, geothermal energy, processor architecture, semiconductor memories, semiconductor verification/emulation, semiconductor processing and manufacturing, network routing, caching, cable modem termination systems (CMTS), Cable and Satellite Interactive Programming Guides, Bluetooth protocol, compiler design, video signal processing, and storage area networks.
Mr. Dutta's experience includes:
- Responsible for leading a team that prepared and prosecuted two Inter Partes reexamination requests for highly litigated patents in the semiconductor chip packaging space.
- Responsible for leading a team that prepared three Ex Parte reexamination requests for patents involving power controller chips.
- Responsible for leading a team that prepared nine Inter Partes reexamination requests for highly licensed patents relating to optical transceivers.
- Responsible for leading a team that prepared and prosecuted three Inter Partes and an Ex Parte reexamination requests for patents relating to microfluidic patch clamp devices for high throughput assay testing.
- Responsible for leading a team that prepared two Ex Parte reexamination requests for medical imaging devices.
- Responsible for leading a team that prepared an Ex Parte reexamination request for biometric thumb print authentication security and access devices.
- Responsible for preparing an Inter Partes reexamination request relating to a distributed client-based data caching system.
- In an Ex Parte reexamination proceeding, successfully represented the owner of a highly licensed patent relating to air bearing sliders for disk drives.
