Robert E. Palmer is a partner in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Orange County. His practice is dedicated primarily to business litigation, with an emphasis on complex litigation, especially in the areas of securities class actions, derivative actions, and governmental investigations. His education includes a J.D., magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law and an undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer. He is also active in the local community, serving as a Board Member for the United Way of Orange County and The South Coast Repertory Theatre. He is also the past Chair of the Orange County Bar Association Judiciary Committee; a past President of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Orange County Chapter; a past President of the Federal Bar Association, Orange County Chapter; a past Board member of the Orange County Bar Association; a past President of the Constitutional Rights Foundation; and a Volunteer Deputy District Attorney for both the Los Angeles and Orange County District Attorney’s offices. Mr. Palmer donates substantial time to the Public Law Center. He has been named a “Super Lawyer” by Los Angeles magazine in 2004–2009 and as one of the nation’s “Best Lawyers” by Who’s Who.
