Experience
Rick joined CME after spending over 20 years in public accounting and most of the last decade of his public accounting career as a partner at Deloitte and BDO. Over his career, Rick has assisted Fortune 500 companies with federal income tax matters, including internal and external restructurings, acquisitions, divestitures and bankruptcy.
He was the Midwest Competency Leader for FAS 109, and a member of the Tax Accounting Services group. He specializes in implementing strategies to minimize federal, international, state, and local taxes. Rick also has extensive experience in the management of federal, international, state, and local compliance; and development of strategies to settle Internal Revenue Service exams.
Rick has previously presented at seminars hosted by the Chicago Tax Club, Tax Executive Institute, Broadband Institute, RILA (National Retailers) and ATLAS. In addition, he has assisted clients in training for FAS 109, implementation of tax provision remediations and assisting in improving internal FAS 109 processes.
