Peter Beattie is a Program Attorney who primarily handles pro bono curriculum including immigration law, municipal law, childrens law, elder law and legal issues impacting non-profit organizations. He graduated from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a B.A. in Psychology and Law, and then received his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a concentration in International and Comparative Law. He has practiced immigration law at Klasko, Rulon, Stock & Seltzer, LLP, and worked as a solo practitioner, before joining the Practising Law Institute. He also teaches legal writing at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York, and is a member of the National Lawyers’ Guild.
