Odell Guyton is Director of Compliance and Senior Corporate Attorney in the Office of Legal Compliance (OLC), Legal& Corporate Affairs Department (LCA) at Microsoft Corporation. The Microsoft Board of Directors Antitrust Compliance Committee also appointed Mr. Guyton to serve as the Board's Antitrust Compliance Officer as required by the U.S. District Court Consent Decree. My Guyton's responsibility is to implement and maintain Microsoft's global ethics and compliance program in a manner that sets high ethical standards and meets or exceeds legal requirements and industry practice.

Mr. Guyton is a compliance and ethics professional who possesses many years of varied experience in corporate matters, including legal and internal audit. His legal experience involved  complex litigation matters and investigation in the areas of "white collar" criminal prosecution and defense, financial fraud and abuse, tax fraud, anti-corruption, anti-bribery, money laundering, U.S. federal RICO (Racketeering Influence and Corrupt Organization Act), FCPA (U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) and qui tam litigation. While engaged in the private practice of law he developed broad experience in the areas of preventative law which include corporate compliance and ethics, corporate internal investigations, legal audit, federal and state grand jury representation. Prior to assuming his present role at Microsoft, Mr. Guyton served as the Corporate Compliance Officer for the University of Pennsylvania and for the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

Before entering private practice, he served as an Assistant U. S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and concluded his career as a federal prosecutor with an appointment as a Special Assistant U. S. Attorney. He received many individual awards and recognition for prosecuting  "white collar" crime, organized drug kingpins and the violent criminal. Included among these awards is the prestigious Director's Award for Superior Performance as an Assistant United States Attorney.

Early in his legal career, he served as a prosecutor for the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office where he investigated and prosecuted public corruption and violent sexual assault. Mr. Guyton also established and maintained a system for monitoring and funding government sponsored programs to address crime victim's rights. He served with distinction at the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office and held various supervisory ranks including that of Deputy District Attorney for the city.

Mr. Guyton participates in numerous professional conferences around the world and speaks on important issues impacting the compliance and ethics professional. He has appeared as a legal commentator on national and local television. He serves on several governing and advisory boards including the Moravian College Board of Trustees. He is a former President of the Healthcare Compliance Association (HCCA) and is a member of the HCCA Board of Directors. He is a founder and Co-Chair of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), a member of the Ethics and Compliance Officers Association (ECOA) and the Northwest Ethics Network (NWEN) in Seattle, Washington. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar, The Washington State Bar, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Bar of the (U.S.) Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Guyton is a graduate of Moravian College, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and the American University, Washington College of Law, Washington, D.C. He is a candidate for a Master's degree in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine, Center for Bioethics, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
