NANETTE S. THOMAS is currently with Dorsey & Semrau. Most recently, she was the Senior Intellectual Property Counsel in the Intellectual Property Department of Becton Dickinson and Company in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. She was responsible for handling the intellectual property legal work for various business units of the Company. In particular, Ms. Thomas worked closely with the various businesses of BD, including BD Biosciences, Discovery Labware, BD Biosiences - Advanced Bioprocessing, BD Diagnostics - Industrial Microbiology and Sustainability Technology. Ms. Thomas' education includes a Juris Doctorate Degree from Seton Hall University Law School and a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) from Stevens Institute of Technology. Her bar affiliations include New York, New Jersey and she is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Ms. Thomas is a member of the Joint Patent Practice Continuing Legal Education Committee, active member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association.
