MICK BAIN is a partner at WilmerHale where he is the co-chair of the Firm's Emerging Company Practice and of the Firm's Cleantech and Energy practice. He is the managing partner of the Firm's Waltham office and the WilmerHale Venture Group. He specializes in counseling entrepreneurs and emerging companies on company formation, governance issues, equity and compensation matters, initial- through late-stage venture capital and private equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, technology licensing and securities laws. He has counseled his clients through hundreds of seed-stage, venture and growth equity capital transactions, public offerings and acquisitions. Mick was formerly associate general counsel of CMGI, Inc., where he advised CMGI and its subsidiaries with respect to a variety of domestic and international transactions, including venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions and international joint ventures in the US, Asia, Europe and South America.
