Michael R. Powell, Vice President, has served with American Arbitration  Association (AAA) for more than 19 years.  Mr. Powell was appointed Vice President of the Los Angeles Regional Office in January 2000. He is currently responsible for expanding the use of AAA construction, real estate and environmental ADR services in the Pacific and Pacific Northwest states.  In this capacity, he assists the corporate, legal and public sector communities on dispute avoidance and resolution techniques and in designing dispute resolution systems to meet their specific needs.

Mr. Powell is a graduate of California State University, San Bernardino and is a frequent speaker and writer on the subject of alternative dispute resolution. In addition to his AAA duties, he serves on the boards of the California Dispute Resolution Committee (CDRC) and the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Center for Civic Mediation.
