Michael E. McTiernan

Michael McTiernan is Assistant Director of the real estate group of the Division of Corporation Finance of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to joining the Commission in 2004, Mr. McTiernan was a securities lawyer at Clifford Chance LLP in New York and focused on traded and non-traded REIT-related matters. Mr. McTiernan is an adjunct professor of securities regulation at the Georgetown University Law Center, where he received his law degree in 1997. As a Fulbright fellow in 2009, Mr. McTiernan assisted Hong Kong University with a study of the Hong Kong REIT market.
