Maureen G. Bauman, Esq. is a Deputy Ethics Counsel with the Office of Attorney Ethics who is designated Assistant Statewide Coordinator.  Ms. Bauman's primary function is to manage and assist Ethics Committees to ensure compliance with the goals adopted by the Supreme Court.  Ms. Bauman joined the OAE in 2008.

Ms. Bauman received her B.A. in 1979 from Rutgers University . She received her law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1982. On her return to New Jersey, she joined the law firm of Wolff, Helies & Duggan in Red Bank, New Jersey where she was a partner. In 1993 Ms. Bauman was certified by the Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney. In 1997 Ms. Bauman joined Ronan, Tuzzio & Giannone in Tinton Falls, New Jersey trying complex personal injury defense and professional and products liability actions. She then joined the law firm of Amdur, Maggs & Shor in Eatontown, New Jersey in 2000 where she specialized in the defense of professional negligence matters. 

Ms. Bauman served on the District IX (Monmouth County) Ethics Committee between 1993 and 1997.
