Mark Fichtenbaum, JD, LL.M, CPA rejoined Twenty-First Securities in 2010 and his responsibilities include advising clients as to the tax treatment afforded to financial instruments and the overall tax planning for the firm.
Prior to rejoining Twenty-First, Mark was a tax manager in the Global Wealth division at Citigroup. While at Citigroup, Mark's duties included the assistance of structuring products to enhance after tax returns, reviewed new products created by Citigroup's trading desk and provided tax guidance to Citigroup clients.
Mark was the Tax Director of Twenty-First Securities Corporation for almost 15 years before leaving to join Citigroup in 2006. Mark was also a partner at Coopers & Lybrand primarily servicing the broker/dealer community. Mark received his LLM in Taxation from New York University, JD from New York Law School, BS from Brooklyn College and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mark was president of the Wall Street Tax Association in 2007-2008 and is currently an adjunct professor at the Lubin School of Business at Pace University.
