Mark C. Terrell is a retired partner of KPMG LLP. From 2000 to 2004 Mr. Terrell was the Partner in Charge and Executive Director of KPMG’s Audit Committee Institute (ACI). In this role he established the ACI mission and strategy. ACI is recognized as a preeminent resource for information on issues of importance to audit committee members as well as those individuals who interface with audit committees. Mr. Terrell has spoken extensively on both audit committee and broader corporate governance issues.
Since retiring from KPMG in December 2004, Mr. Terrell has participated extensively as a Faculty Member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). He is on the Advisory Board of NACD’s Corporate Directors Institute. Additionally, Mr. Terrell was invited to join the faculty of the University of Miami as an Adjunct Professor in their Graduate Accounting Program. He taught the graduate auditing course in the fall of 2005.
On July 27, 2006 Mr. Terrell was elected to the Board of Comverse Technology, Inc. (CMVT). On December 14, 2006 the reconstituted Board of Directors elected Mr. Terrell to serve as Chairman of the Board in which role he served until March 2008. Additionally he served as chairman of the Special Committee of the Board from July 2006 until March 2008 when the Report of the Special Committee was issued. He continues to serve as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
