Marcia L. MacHarg is a senior partner of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, resident for several years in the Frankfurt office. She represents buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions in the financial services industries, advises U.S. and foreign clients on investment management and general securities regulatory matters, and provides corporate governance and compliance advice. Prior to joining Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in 1981, Ms. MacHarg was a staff member of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Market Regulation and an assistant to Commissioner Steven J. Friedman.
