Lona Nallengara

Lona Nallengara is the Acting Director of the Division of Corporation Finance at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Nallengara was appointed Acting Director of the Division at the end of 2012. In this position Mr. Nallengara oversees all Division activities and operations, including rulemaking, interpretive guidance and the disclosure review program. Prior to becoming Acting Director, Mr. Nallengara served as Deputy Director (Legal and Regulatory Policy). As Deputy Director, Mr. Nallengara oversaw the Division's Offices of Chief Counsel, Enforcement Liaison, International Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions and Small Business Policy, and led a number of key rulemakings and other Division projects, including efforts to implement the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act. 

Before joining the Commission, Mr. Nallengara was a partner at Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York, where he advised public companies and financial institutions on capital raising activities, corporate governance, public reporting and mergers and acquisitions.
