Lisa Sterneck is an associate in the Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions Group with particular emphasis in healthcare-related matters. Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Sterneck worked in the general counsel’s office of a large Chicago hospital. Ms. Sterneck’s healthcare work focuses primarily on regulatory compliance dealing with issues such as privacy of health information, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, and fraud and abuse issues faced by hospitals, clinics, physician groups, and assisted living facilities. She also reviews and analyzes various aspects of compliance, ethics, and document retention programs for large institutions, including pharmaceutical companies and mental health care facilities.
