Lillian Brown is Senior Special Counsel to the Director of the Division of Corporation Finance at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Ms. Brown advises the Director on a wide range of matters in the Division, including rulemaking, interpretations of the federal securities laws, pending legislation, and registrant matters. Most recently, she has been involved in the Division's activities related to implementation of the JOBS Act, the Division's study of capital formation issues, and the development and drafting of rules to implement the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Prior to serving in her current capacity, Ms. Brown was a Special Counsel in the Office of Mergers and Acquisitions in the Division of Corporation Finance.
Ms. Brown earned her undergraduate degree from Mills College and her law degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
