Laura R. Shields is the Assistant Director of Programs at PLI where she assists the Vice President in managing the program department. Additionally she  handles programs in the corporate and securities area including both SEC Speaks and PLI’s Annual Institute on Securities Regulation.  She also serves on PLI’s one-hour briefing team, tracking and planning new programs based on current legal developments.  Previously, Laura spent four years as Assistant Director, Research and Development for the American Law Institute- American Bar Association (ALI-ABA), as well as Assistant Staff Director for ALI-ABA In-House.  Prior to her work in CLE, she was a litigation associate at the aviation law firm of Wolk & Genter in Philadelphia.  She received her B.A. from the University of Delaware and J.D. from Villanova University School of Law. Laura is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars.
