Mr. Kirsch has represented companies in over one hundred patent and intellectual property litigation matters and has testified before and advised members of the United States House of Representatives on various proposed patent reform legislative initiatives. Mr. Kirsch is a registered patent attorney, licensed to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. He is the primary author of Patent Local Rules for the Southern District of Ohio
, implemented in June 2010. He is the former Chairman of the Cincinnati Bar Association Intellectual Property Litigation Committee, a prior member of the planning committee for the Ohio Annual Institute on Intellectual Property and a current member of the steering committee for the University of Dayton Annual Intellectual Property Seminar. In addition, Mr. Kirsch serves on the panel of arbitrators for the Cincinnati Bar Association's Arbitration Service.
Mr. Kirsch received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. He was also enrolled in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of California in Irvine for two years. He is the former Head of the Patent Litigation practice and a partner of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP and previously led the Legal Services Department for Luxottica Retail (LensCrafters, Pearl Vision, Sunglass Hut). He was also a partner in the Patent and Litigation groups for Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelley.

Mr. Kirsch has served on the Board of Directors for the Orange County High School of the Arts and the Fund Raising Committee for the Orangewood Children's Foundation.
