Karen Kolodny, email@example.com , holds two law degrees from McGill University (one in Civil Law and one in Common Law) and a Masters of Law from Cambridge University. She is a member of the Bars of New York, Quebec and Ontario. Ms. Kolodny founded and runs the legal department at New York's preeminent cultural center, the 92nd Street Y, where she is also the Claire B. and Lawrence A. Benenson Director of the Milstein/Rosenthal Center for Media & Technology. Her department is responsible for all legal aspects of 92Y, which has over 30 different business units ranging from children's camps to an adult lecture program that triggers many intellectual property issues.
Ms. Kolodny currently sits on three not-for-profit boards, the Abraham Joshua Heschel School, a pluralistic Jewish day school in Manhattan, where she was President of the Parents' Association, West End Synagogue (formerly President of the Board), and the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Pennsylvania. Previously, she was a member of the Board of the Friends of McGill.
