Karen Brodsky is a Tax Partner serving international private clients. Karen specializes in tax planning and compliance for cross-border family offices, which includes serving business owners and other high-wealth individuals relating to: estate, gift and income taxation, taxation relating to individual expatriation, trust income taxation, tax compliance for individuals, entities, and trusts, and information reporting.
In addition to her client service responsibilities, Karen is the Northeast Regional Leader of Deloitte's Estate, Gift, Trust and Charitable Planning practice and a member of the U.S. Tax Practice's Partner and Director admissions committee. Karen is also responsible for the development and delivery of numerous internal tax training programs.
Karen is a regular speaker at external tax and estate planning seminars and has authored and co-authored numerous professional articles on tax and estate planning topics. Karen is Chair of the AICPA Foreign Trust Task Force and a member of the AICPA Expatriation Task Force.
Karen earned her LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, JD from Brooklyn Law School and BBA and MBA from Pace University. Karen is a CPA, licensed in NY and the District of Columbia, and a member of the New York State Bar.
