Julie Divola leads Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLC's tax group in San Francisco. Her practice focuses on corporate and partnership taxation with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings. Julie is active in the ABA Section of Taxation, where she serves as a Council Director and a member of the Nominating Committee and where she previously served as chair of the Corporate Tax Committee. Julie teaches Corporate Tax as a Visiting Professor at the UC Davis School of Law. She currently serves on the advisory board for the New York University Institute on Federal Taxation, the editorial board for the Practical Tax Lawyer and as co-chair of ALI-ABA's annual course of study on Corporate Taxation. Julie also serves as a director of the BASIC Fund (Bay Area Scholarships for Inner-City Children) and as a Trustee for the van Löben Sels/Rembe Rock Foundation (a social justice organization).
