Ms. Litzenberger is the Executive Director of California Veterans Legal Task Force (
www.CVLTF.org) , a non-profit dedicated to helping counties establish Veterans Treatment Courts throughout the state. A solo practitioner focusing on military and criminal law, Jude attended law school after retiring from the Navy. She helped develop the San Diego Superior Court Veterans Treatment Review Calendar (VTRC), which is dedicated to criminal cases of veterans suffering from service-related, treatable mental disorders. Ms. Litzenberger has trained citizen volunteers to serve as individual mentors for VTRC participants, guided the experts from various agencies-including prosecutors, defense lawyers, probation and court staff-into a team for the collaborative court.
