John Hamlin is Chief Employment Counsel for Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc., a global professional services firm that provides advice and solutions in the areas of risk, strategy and human capital. Prior to joining Marsh & McLennan, Mr. Hamlin was Of Counsel with Paul, Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP. While in private practice, he represented employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, before various state and federal courts and administrative agencies, and provided advice on an array of personnel-related issues.
Mr. Hamlin received his law degree with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Connecticut Journal of International Law and a member of the Connecticut Moot Court Board. After law school, he served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable B. Avant Edenfield, Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia in Savannah. Earlier this year he was elected a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
