John Roddy's work is devoted to representing consumers in class actions challenging unfair lending practices and violations of state and federal consumer protection statutes, as well as acting as counsel to relators in qui tam "whistleblower" actions. Since 1998 his practice has obtained more than $1 billion in restitution and debt forgiveness for consumers victimized by predatory business practices, and in qui tam recoveries. For the past fifteen years John has co-chaired the Practising Law Institute's Annual Institute on Consumer Financial Services Litigation, held in New York and Chicago.
