John F. Sweeney has had over twenty-seven years of experience in all aspects of intellectual property law litigation. He has a B.S. in mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University and a J.D. from Georgetown University, where he was a member of the National Moot Court team and was selected as the William E. Leahy Outstanding Advocate. He served as President of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association in 2000. His cases include a $178,000,000 patent damages award for Procter & Gamble in Procter & Gamble Company v. Paragon Trade Brands, Inc., 989 F. Supp. 547 (D. Del. 1997), motion for new trial denied, 15 F. Supp. 2d 406 (1998). He was listed in the 2001–02 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
