John Esposito is a Managing Director and head of the North America Financial Institutions Group. John joined Morgan Stanley in 2004. Prior to Morgan Stanley John was a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions group at Merrill Lynch.
John has executed various M&A and equity transactions for financial institution clients. Select advisory transactions include: First Republic in its sale to Merrill Lynch, People's United in its $3.2 billion mutual holding company conversion and acquisition of Chittenden, Washington Mutual's in its sale of WM advisors, M&I in its sale to PNC, Santander in its investment in Sovereign and National Bank of Greece in its sale of Atlantic bank. Select equity transactions include PNC, KeyCorp, M&I, Citizens Republic and First Republic.
John has a BS in management from Boston College and a MBA from the John E. Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
