John C. Todaro is Managing Counsel - Patents in the Merck Intellectual Property Group, where he manages patent procurement and due diligence evaluations for Merck's diabetes, endocrine and women's health franchises. Previous to his employment with Merck, John was Senior Counsel with the law firm of Darby & Darby, P.C., in New York. John began his legal career as law clerk for Chief Judge Edward D. Re of the United States Court of International Trade.
John also maintains an active pro bono practice in the fields of consumer bankruptcy and immigration law, as a member of the Merck Office of General Counsel Pro Bono Group.
John holds a J.D. from Pace University School of Law, and a bachelor of science in Chemistry from Providence College.
