Jennifer Durham King joined Vedder Pricefs Chicago office in 1997 as a member of the firm's Corporate and Capital Markets practice areas. She concentrates her practice in capital markets and corporate securities transactions, with a specific focus on financial institutions. Ms. King regularly represents issuers and underwriters in a broad range of capital markets transactions, including public and private debt and equity offerings, trust preferred offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and capital planning and formation.
Ms. King also counsels public companies on their reporting and disclosure obligations under the federal securities laws, as well as on a variety of corporate governance matters, including compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act and stock exchange requirements, creation and implementation of corporate compliance programs, and shareholder and board of directors matters.
Ms. King devotes significant time to firm management matters, having served as a member of the Associate Advisory Committee for five years. She is currently a member of the firm's Associate Evaluation Committee and is a former co-chair of the firmfs summer associate program.
Prior to graduating from law school, Ms. King spent ten years in the brokerage industry, working as a securities broker with a Wall Street firm and a Chicagoland and community bank, as well as sales representative for a regional sponsor of unit investment trusts, holding both the FINRA Series 7 and Series 6 licenses.
