Jennifer Bennett is a director who specializes in partnerships as part of the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) group in the National Tax Services office of PricewaterhouseCoopers. She advises clients on the treatment of partnership transactions including initial public offerings of partnerships via an Up-C structure, the formation and termination of partnerships, acquisitions of partnership interests, and the redemption of partner's interests. In addition, Jennifer has significant experience with tax issues related to distributions, allocation of partnership income based on the partnership agreement, basis adjustments to partnership assets, issuance of equity for compensatory and noncompensatory purposes, and transactions between partners and the partnership. Prior to working in the M&A group of the National Tax Services office, Jennifer was a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Private Company Services group.
Jennifer received a Master of Science in Accountancy focused in tax from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in Accounting from Saint Mary's College at Notre Dame. Jennifer is a Certified Public Accountant and has been published in Tax Notes. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
