Jayne A. Czik

Jayne Czik joined Citnalta Construction Corp. as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer in May 2011. Citnalta is a family owned general contractor, established in 1974, whose clients are primarily public sector agencies. Jayne handles legal and risk management services including bidding, proposals, negotiation, transactional work, risk management, insurance placement, and claims and litigation issues. These services involve assisting Citnalta with the development of business solutions to legal issues and disputes. Jayne is also responsible for overseeing compliance and ensuring that executive management is apprised of new regulatory and compliance requirements.

Prior to joining Citnalta, Jayne was the Deputy General Counsel at MTA Capital Construction (MTACC) in New York. MTACC is the MTA agency responsible for the MTA's mega transportation projects and system expansion program. Jayne counseled senior management on legal and procurement issues pertaining to MTACC projects involving state, city and federal funding. Jayne began working at MTACC shortly after the agency was created and remained there for seven years, giving her an opportunity to work on several projects from inception through completion and close out.

Jayne has been focusing on construction law since 1988 and is an active member of the American Bar Association's Forum on the Construction Industry. She is currently the Editor of the Forum's Under Construction newsletter. Jayne is also a member of the American Arbitration Association's National Construction Panel.
