H. Ward Classen

Mr. Classen has been Deputy General Counsel of Computer Sciences Corporation since December 2008 and served in various other positions with Computer Sciences Corporation since 1990. Mr. Classen serves on a number of business, professional and civic boards, including The Walters Art Museum, the Calvert School and DM Petroleum Services Company. He previously served as the Chair of the Business Law Section of the Maryland Bar Association.

Mr. Classen received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Trinity College (Connecticut); a Juris Doctor of law from Catholic University; and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. 

Mr. Classen is the author of A Practical Guide to Software Licensing for Licensees and Licensors published by the American Bar Association. Mr. Classen has been widely published in legal journals and spoken extensively before professional groups both domestically and internationally. His recent articles address technology licensing, law department management and managing inside / outside counsel relationships.
