Guy Petrillo is a co-founding partner of Petrillo Klein. Immediately prior to co-founding his current law firm, Mr. Petrillo, from January 2008 through October 2009, served as Chief of the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York ("SDNY"). Before serving in that position, he was a partner in the litigation department of a national law firm for more than ten years, where his practice focused on enforcement matters, internal investigations and civil litigation. Earlier, from 1990 through 1997, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the SDNY, where, as a senior Assistant, he was the Criminal Division's Chief Appellate Attorney and Chief of the Office's Narcotics Unit. From late 1986 through mid-1990, Mr. Petrillo was an associate in the Litigation Department of Davis Polk & Wardwell.
Mr. Petrillo is an adjunct faculty member of Columbia University School of Law. He has also lectured in continuing legal education programs sponsored by the Association of Corporate Counsel, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Practising Law Institute, West's On-Line, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Petrillo has been recognized repeatedly by Chambers USA and Super Lawyers (New York). He has also served on the Criminal Justice Act Panel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Mr. Petrillo is a member of the White Collar Crime Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and also served on the City Bar's Committee on Professional Responsibility.
