Gerald B. Lurie is a 1969 graduate of DePaul University College of Law. Upon graduation, Mr. Lurie served for four years as a special agent with the Illinois Bureau of Investigation, and then for two years as the real estate staff attorney at United Charities Legal Aid Bureau. In 1976, Mr. Lurie joined the Chicago law firm of Rudnick & Wolfe as a litigation associate, was admitted to partnership, and continued to practice in the firm's litigation department through its evolution into DLA Piper (US) LLP. On January 1, 2009, Mr. Lurie joined the Chicago boutique litigation firm of Chen Nelson Roberts Ltd.
 
 During his tenure at DLA Piper and then at Chen Nelson Roberts, Mr. Lurie has represented clients in a wide variety of real estate related disputes litigated in state and federal trial and appellate courts, before administrative agencies and before arbitration tribunals, running the gamut from landlord/tenant disputes to buy/sell controversies.
