George Martinez has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years having commenced his career at the SEC's Division of Investment Management where he served as a Senior Attorney. In 2007, he joined J.P. Morgan Chase Bank NA as an Executive Director and head of Fund Administration Operations. In January 2011, he moved over to the Asset Manager Segment of the Relationship Management team where he has direct client responsibilities as well acting as a subject matter resource on legal, compliance and regulatory matters for clients.
Previously he served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel with Alliance Capital, now AllianceBernstein, as Senior Vice President and Director of Fund Administration with BISYS Fund Services, as the National Director of Andersen's Investment Management Consulting Practice and later as Senior Vice President and Senior Managing Counsel with State Street Corporation.
Mr. Martinez left State Street to launch the industry's first online director education and communication service, Fundwatchdog.com. He then returned to BISYS Fund Services, later Citigroup Global Transaction Services, were he served in various capacities including as Senior Vice President and Head of Fund Administration and Senior Vice President and Chief Counsel.
Mr. Martinez has a JD from Boston University School of Law and an LLM in Securities Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center. He serves as Co Chair of the Legal and Regulatory Committee of the National Investment Company Services Association and is a member of the Association of SEC Alumni and the New York Bar.
