George Kimball

George Kimball is Senior Counsel at Hewlett-Packard and a member of the legal team that supports HP's worldwide outsourcing business. He also co-chairs the cloud focus group within HP's Office of General Counsel. Before joining HP in March 2010, he spent more than 30 years in private practice, including partnerships at Latham & Watkins, Arnold & Porter and Baker & McKenzie, and seven years leading a Los Angeles technology boutique, Kimball & Weiner LLP. He has advised clients in the negotiation and re-negotiation of long term contracts to outsource information technology and business processes in a wide range of industries since the early 1990s. His book, Outsourcing Agreements: A Practical Guide was published in January 2010 by Oxford University Press. While in private practice, George was ranked as a leading outsourcing attorney by Chambers Global, Chambers USA and Legal 500. He is a graduate of UCLA, the University of London and the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a member of the law review and (with his brother Frank) a winner of the moot court competition.
