Erin Jones is an Associate in the Silicon Valley office of Fish & Richardson. Dr.
Jones’ litigation experience includes patent and other technology-related litigation
relating to a broad range of electronics, computer software, and materials
characterization technologies.
Prior to studying law, Dr. Jones was an Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering
and Computer Sciences at Oregon State University, and a Manager and Research
Staff Member in the area of Exploratory Devices and Materials in the IBM Research
Division in Yorktown Heights, New York. Her research focused on semiconductor
devices, materials and processing techniques for high performance logic. During
law school, Dr. Jones was a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Joseph C. Spero
(Magistrate) in the US District Court, Northern District of California, and an intern
at the Samuelson Law, Technology & Public Policy Clinic at the University of
California Berkeley Law School (Boalt Hall).

Dr. Jones is a co-inventor named on approximately 26 United States Patents, and
has produced numerous articles, book chapters, and edited conference proceedings
relating to semiconductor devices & processing.
