Eric Simonson has more than 25 years experience representing clients, from small privately held companies to large publicly traded corporations, as well as private equity firms, financial investors and investment banking firms in a broad range of matters including mergers, acquisitions, proxy contests, joint ventures, securities offerings and other capital raising activities, complex investment and operating partnerships, internal investigations, board of directors and committee advisory, restructurings of troubled and bankrupt companies, and technology transactions. His clients operate in a broad range of business sectors including, technology, software, biotechnology, finance, manufacturing, natural resources, entertainment, chemicals and basic materials, telecommunications, consumer products, food and nutritional products.
Mr. Simonson received his JD, cum laude, from The University of Chicago Law School, where he was a member of The University of Chicago Law Review. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Simonson clerked for the Hon. Frank H. Easterbook of the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. He is a member of the bars of the State of New York and Washington State.
